Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I bring my pets? – NO Dogs or animals other than service dogs, are allowed at the festival.

  2. Can I ride my bike?  NO bicycles, ebikes, escooters or motorcycles are allowed. Police will issue warnings or citations.

  3. Where can I park?  Please refer to the Zone 7 maps which outlines the parking lots and free shuttle route.  We are encouraging attendees to utilize the festival parking lots at the local churches and the High School.  We also encourage attendees to utilize the free shuttle service.   

  4. Is there Handicap parking? Yes in front of M and T bank and in the Tractor Supply lot area closer to Fisher Ave.

  5. When does the road close? Fisher Ave closes to traffic between Wootton and Elgin 7:00am -5:00PM.

  6. Can the vendors and people in the parade use the Fisher Ave. during the event?  ONLY Vendors, Falcon Lane and Parade participants with passes may use the road 7:00 am- 9:00 am.

  7. What time will Fisher Ave. reopen? Fisher Ave. opens to traffic at 5:00pm

  8. Can I park my golf cart on Glass way and walk over? No golf carts or parking is allowed on Glass way. 

  9. Will there be a shuttle? Yes 9:00am – 4:00PM from the Catholic church on Tom Fox, with stops on Hughes to Wooton, West Willard to Elgin to the United Methodist church.      See Zone 7 Map for Festival Parking Lots and Shuttle Route

  10. What time does the parade start?  10:00am

  11. What business will be open. Most businesses will be open. Check with individual businesses for their hours.

  12. My kid is in the parade, where can I drop them off. Please consult with your group organizer for details.  Note: No vehicles without a VENDOR or PARADE Pass will be allowed on Fisher Ave. from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM

  13. Is there an admission fee? No

  14. What if I have an emergency?  Look for a Lime Green volunteer shirt or Police officer for help.

  15. What if it rains. Poolesville Day is rain or shine event be prepared for sun or rain.

  16. How long does the parade last. 1 hour

  17. Will the Ride On bus be working?  There are no Ride on Buses to Poolesville on the weekends.  

  18. I’m in the Classic car show, where do I go? There will be signs for both the Classic and EV car shows. You will enter the Classic car show on Fisher Ave.  From 109, right and quick left. From West Willard, rt then rt.  Follow all signs. Only EV cars with a Pass may enter on Wooton / Elgin.

  19. Do I have to pay for the carnival rides? No all rides are free.

  20. Are the pony rides back ?  Yes, they are located in the grass area on Fisher and Cattail.
